CELEBRATION SPEECH<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Good evening!
We are gather together this day, friends and family, WITH SO MUCH JOY AND EMOTION<\/strong> to CELEBRATE <\/strong>the union of Karina Borges and Ryan Ericksen and we would like to thank God and all of you who attended here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On my first meeting\u200a\u2014\u200awith the bride\u200a\u2014\u200aI was \u201curged\u201d not to speak as much as I would like, since I was intending to spend a couple of hours talking to you about the REASONS<\/strong> that led Karina to the other side of the world and made her tread the more diverse and unforeseen paths until now, in this sublime moment, where we celebrate the fulfillment of this relationship which is worthy of, without a doubt, turning into a movie script! You heard it right!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I was interviewing the couple and became familiar with their stories, it was inevitable to go through the scenes that could perfectly fit into one of these great Hollywood productions.
Examples?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE OPENING SCENE [RYAN]:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our protagonist, still very young, about 20 years ago, enters the school and meets friends who will accompany him throughout history\u2014 by the way, this is a union so genuine that these loyal friends are even present here, today!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After some adventures, the group of friends set out on several great journeys to explore the world, going through Central America, Asia, South America and, in his passage through Europe, Ryan ends up staying in London for three years.
CUT THE OPENING SCENE!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another promise I made to Karina is that this story would have to be bilingual, especially the part where we are going to talk about her. So\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SECOND SCENE [KARINA]:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Our young lady had come to the slight realization that something very important could happen when she left Brazil, but she was a little afraid of being so far away from everything that was safe for her as, for instance, the partnership with her sister, Karen.\u200a\u2014\u200aas a typical team of film productions, Karina told me that she was usually the courageous one, while Karen was the balanced one, sort of \u201cthe thought before the action\u201d \u2026 one always complementing the other.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, as I was saying, our heroine has always been pure action and literally she head off into an ADVENTURE IN SPACE AND TIME<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uh! That sounded amazing, did it not?
But this is the plain truth: I said space because\u2026 do you have any idea of how far Australia is from here?
It is so far away that it really requires a time travel: we have to go forward in time to reach \u2026 the future.
CUT THE SECOND SCENE!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suppose everyone here knows the time zone differences, interesting at the very least, between our country and theirs, because there are places there that can be up to 10 hours ahead of us!!!
That means that right now, in Australia, for all that we are going soon to drink at the party\u2026 we are already waking up in a hangover!!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NOW COMES THAT MOVIE PART IN WHICH YOU COULD THINK OF BUYING MORE POPCORN, BUT, PLEASE, KEEP SEATED\u2026 WE WILL HAVE CAKE!!<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

After so many trips, Ryan was no longer a teenager: he was back home, living and working in the capital of Western Australia; whenever he could, he was going to surf on the Australian waves, but\u2026 one night in a bar in the city of Perth<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It had been almost two years after the strong emotions of having left Brazil to know the Outback, and Karina\u2019s life started to become \u201cnormal\u201d\u2026 you know, the usual: studies, job\u2026
Her contact with the family\u200a\u2014\u200aso dear and usually so present\u200a\u2014\u200awas made only by phone or the internet\u2026
Anyway, not even the parties and their drinks could avoid the monotony, until one night in a bar in the city of Perth<\/strong>\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AND WHAT HAPPENED IN THAT BAR IN THE CITY OF PERTH?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I was not there to know if it was a look or a bump, but surely the most crucial moment of our whole plot was at that bar in Perth<\/em><\/strong>: the first time they met, the first time they talked to each other\u2026 I\u2019m not sure if he was dancing well in the center of the dance floor, but it was certainly the first time they drank together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It might have been just another happenstance meeting, but the joy and warmth of Karina soon caught Ryan\u2019s attention: there was something different from everything he had seen so far, and suddenly a person who could go unnoticed\u2026 started to become a character in Ryan\u2019s life story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karina, on the other hand, could never have imagined that so soon after that night her health would put her in such a serious emergency that she would have to be hospitalized, however she could count on an unexpected and faithful companion: Ryan!!
(Can we say, in this case, that there are evils that come for good?)
<\/em>According to her, since there was not really a more serious commitment<\/strong>, the fact that he stayed by her side , when it would be so much easier to go out to do more fun things<\/strong>, was REMARKABLE<\/strong>, simply because she had never met anyone SO CAPABLE OF GIVING OF ONESELF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There, in such a completely unforeseen situation, Karina had finally discovered the MAIN REASON<\/strong> of going so far: TO FIND THE LOVE OF HER LIFE.
(Now I\u2019m going to reveal the final shot for everybody who did not put faith in my idea of a screenplay)
<\/em>And there, having chosen to take care of Karina in a hospital, Ryan Ericksen proved to be, yes\u2026 a TRUE HERO<\/strong>!
LET\u2019S STOP THE MOVIE HERE!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

While I\u2019ve been here, narrating this romantic adventure to you, I realized that, unintentionally, I\u2019ve played the role of the villain: while I\u2019m speaking here, I am also preventing our heroes from kissing each other, but \u2026 thing is that they themselves asked me to celebrate their union!
And I need to talk, at least a little, about RELATIONSHIP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IT\u2019S ALL ABOUT FAMILY<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

And I am absolutely sure that excellent and important decisions have already been taken for the starting of a new and beautiful family that decided to celebrate tonight, here in Rio de Janeiro, the officialization of their relationship: just as Karina tells how welcomed she was by Ryan\u2019s family there in Australia, here we are so that all of you, can know and receive with all affection the man who will take care of her here, there \u2026 and everywhere!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALWAYS SET GOALS AND BE READY FOR REALITY<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Please keep in mind that the main currency accepted for dreams to come true \u2026 is called reality!
For example?<\/strong>
One piece of advice I would give to a man who dream of having increasingly beautiful wives is: encourage and support her to go exercise!
(This is the most natural and least risky method at least \u2026)<\/em>
Another example?<\/strong>
For couples looking forward to having children, I always recommend they had better be ready to spend many nights awake\u2026 not partying nor drinking\u2026 (And not being so romantic either!!)<\/em>
A sidenote on children: they are beautiful and make our lives happy, they will grow up, study, graduate, get married\u2026 and eventually the couple will end up alone, again!
So, it\u2019s advisable that you always set realistic goals to achieve: always have trips, accomplishments, good deeds\u2026 in other words, always have something planned to do together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DO YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY? MAKE HIM HAPPY!
DO YOU WANT TO BE HAPPY? MAKE HER HAPPY!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

We live in an age of selfishness where we see most people thinking solely about themselves\u2026
I have seen many marriages being undone for no apparent reason while the couple state they are only \u201cseeking happiness\u201d\u2026
There is an excerpt from a well-known and important book where it reads \u201cLOVE IS NOT SELF-SERVING\u201d<\/em> and this is a revelation of the greatest wisdom, since, remembering how Ryan behaved in the hospital:
THE MOST PERFECT AND FULFILLING RELATIONSHIP will only occur when ONE IS CAPABLE OF RECOGNIZING AND CARING FOR THE NEEDS OF THE OTHER<\/strong>,
mutually filled with respect and without fear of any harm, for we shall know that just as we are dedicated to it, the other will also be aware and take care of our own needs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a lot more I could say but I\u2019m not very fond of thinking of myself as a villain: I believe now is the appropriate time to start celebrating the transformation of two beings\u2026 into one!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This union\u200a\u2014\u200aalso called the family\u200a\u2014\u200ais so powerful that it can be considered the core of all mankind, firmly established by the most solid and beautiful COVENANT<\/strong> that can exist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ENTRY OF RINGS AND VOWS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Karina, as every good \u201caction girl\u201d , had already written everything she wanted to say: while she is saying her vows to Ryan, we will count on the special participation of her cousin, Fernanda, who will translate these words to all of you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
